Using Git with Eclipse

1. Download egit plugin for eclipse (no need for jgit or anything Java unless that is what you are using – personally that file always throws my system off)
2. Open Git Repository view in Eclipse – Also go to and check for repositories (If need be create git repository fist before proceeding with Eclipse)
3. Click Clone Git Repository in Eclipse
4. Go to Github to view Repositories – Switch Context is need be
5. Copy HTTP URL
6. Add HTTP URL to URI in Source Git Repository and include password (all other info should pre-populate)
7. Click next
8. Check Repository to be cloned
9. Create folder name and clone files to folder

1. Right Click in PHP Explore and select Import
2. Select Projects from Git and click next
3. Select Repository to be imported (newly cloned repository) and click next
4. Click finish with Use the New Projects wizard and automatically share selected
5. In wizard PHP/PHP Project should be selected, click next
6. Create a local PHP Project, give Project name, click next, click next, click finish

1. Create config file on the same level as the root folder
2. In config set up all definitions (see config file at bottom)
3. Importantly set up definitions for CDN, IMAGES and JAVASCRIPT both secure and non-secure
4. Create hostnames in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (see host file at bottom)
5. This will be where you connect your local host or $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] and definitions independently
6. Create virtual hosts in C:\Apache2\conf\httpd.conf
7. Set server name with document root.
8. Be sure to set directory with proper allowances and over rides

Git Bash
1. Go to directory – cd /c/Apache2/htdocs/projectName
2. Check status – git status
3. Pull – git pull
4. Recheck status (redundant but good to do) – git status
